Kooroomba is an acreage home nestled within the Scenic Rim that was conceived around the idea of two simple geometric pavilions. The two pavilions are offset against one another to create a series of courtyards and relationships with the natural environment. The primary living pavilion is characterised by large retracting doors that transform the space into an open pavilion which seamlessly connects the inhabitants to the surrounding bush and views across to the Great Dividing Range. Strategically selected for their texture, warmth and durability, the material of stone and spotted gum timber further ground the home and offer a sophisticated reinterpretation to country living. Coral pendants are chosen to compliment the natural timber theme. “The blend of materials Shaun has used has been one of our favourite elements of the build. The detail also is amazing.” - Client
