'Then and Now' – Currently featured in the New Zealand Maritime Museum’s ‘Always Song in the Water’ exhibition is an intricately designed windsurfer crafted from sustainably sourced, natural materials. This piece is inspired by the indigenous cultures of the Western Pacific islands, spanning from Fiji to Papua New Guinea, particularly the tepuke boats of the Santa Cruz Islands in the eastern Solomon Islands. David skillfully employed techniques reminiscent of traditional practices in bringing this vision to life.
