For Indoor Use Only
David Trubridge pendants are made from natural plywood, which is not suitable for outdoor exposure. Plywood can be damaged by temperature changes and UV rays, causing deterioration when exposed to outdoor conditions.
Install in a Dry Environment
For optimal care, install it in a dry environment. As David Trubridge lighting is made from natural materials, it can absorb moisture, which may lead to mould growth over time.
How to Clean
Before cleaning, always make sure the light is turned off. Use a soft cloth or microfiber cloth dampened with warm water to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish. Regular gentle cleaning will help maintain the light's longevity.

Not Suitable for Task Lighting
David Trubridge pendants are designed primarily as accent lights, perfect for creating soft, ambient light and beautiful feature shadows. However, they are not ideal for task lighting. Task lighting is essential in areas like kitchens, reading corners, or workspaces, where you need focused, direct light for specific activities. Be sure to incorporate additional task lighting in these areas to ensure both function and atmosphere in your space.
Sizing for Your Space
Choosing the right size of pendant light is crucial for achieving the desired look in your space. A light that is too large can overwhelm the room, while one that's too small can get lost in the space. To decide on the correct size, consider the following tips:
For a dining table, the light should typically be about half to two-thirds the width of the table.
For larger rooms, consider using multiple pendants or larger fixtures to fill the space and maintain visual balance.
In general, aim for the light to hang about 800-900mm/30–36 inches above a dining surface or counter, adjusting based on the size and height of the room.
Personal Style & Focal Point
David Trubridge’s designs are artistic and sculptural, making them ideal for spaces where you want the lighting fixture to be a focal point. Play with the shape and colour to add your personal style to the room.
Experiment with bold colour contrasts or use a neutral tone that complements other elements in your décor. Since the lighting can influence how colours appear in the space, make sure it coordinates well with the surrounding décor.
