Conservation Evening

“Think Like a Forest”

At the heart of the evening is the screening of Think Like a Forest, a powerful short climate film by Pure Advantage that reimagines how we live with our land. It features ‘Sam the Trap Man’ who takes us to important areas of Aotearoa to share his knowledge and to speak with kaitiaki of te taiao (the guardians or caretakers of the natural world).

The film is a call to action, urging us all to reconnect with the whenua and join the Recloaking Papatūānuku movement: an ambitious environmental restoration initiative aimed at restoring and enhancing more than 2 million hectares of native forest and wetland in Aotearoa over the next 30 years.

Why This Matters?

“I am sure we all feel stressed by the magnitude of global crises we can’t solve– but we can have an impact locally.” – David Trubridge.

Internationally renowned designer David Trubridge invites the public to an evening of inspiration, conversation and action, centred around native forest regeneration.

We will be highlighting local conservation initiatives as well as introducing our newest and smallest light: Dusk.

This portable lamp was created to help Pure Salt’s conservation efforts in Tamatea/Dusky Sound, one of the world's most remote ecosystems.

Fill out your RSVP for the event and we will get back to you with confirmation!
